 As the first point of contact for all City of Terrace media inquiries, the Communications Advisor is responsible for providing guidance and undertaking projects related to daily communications and coordinating a range of communication services for the City of Terrace. As the ideal candidate, you will possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability to capture, distil, and accurately describe information. You will possess outstanding computer abilities including word processing, spread sheet development, network communications, graphic software and design using Adobe, and knowledge of communications, branding, and marketing best practices. The ideal candidate will also hold a degree or diploma in a related field or a suitable combination of training and experience.

 

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES AND TASKS

 

  1. Plans and implements media relations services
  2. Coordinates and performs issues management services
  3. Coordinates and prepares information materials
  4. Completes performance planning and review processes including analysis of social media campaigns and website usage

 

This is an exempt position with a 35-hour work week and offers an excellent benefits package. The salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
